David is in charge of the Metropolitan Police’s Contact, Command & Control service. He leads the transformation of the Met’s Future Contact Centre, which will handle telephone and digital contact, including Next Generation 999/112. David joined Nottinghamshire Police in 1990, where he become the lead trainer for Command & Control, introducing a new IT platform to the force. He transferred to the Metropolitan Police in 1995, and has worked in citizen facing and Command & Control roles at every rank. David also sits on the national strategy group for contact management and on the UK Government’s Liaison Committee for 999.
